This is a series of posters highlighting social issues.
The first piece spotlights the City Talks organized by Heritage Montreal. While screenprinting , this poster features Montreal's iconic pink house against the city's backdrop. It's a friendly invitation for professionals such as architects, urban planners, builders, city officials, and scholars to engage in shaping the city's future. With its approachable tone, the design aims to captivate their interest and spark meaningful discussions about urban development.
The second poster in my series for the Marc A. Choko contest in Montreal addresses climate change. Using a collage approach, I depicted a turtle, symbolizing the impact on both land and sea ecosystems. On the turtle's shell illustrates environmental degradation: forest fires, deforestation, air pollution, plastic waste to highlight the pervasive effects of climate change. The goal is to evoke a strong response, urging viewers to recognize the severity of the issue and take action to protect all living beings from environmental harm.
"Fading Beauty," highlights the decline of coral reefs. The design uses a tapestry of coral, with bright colors visible through the letters of the tagline. Outside "fading beauty," the corals appear unhealthy and bleached, emphasizing the impact of climate change and pollution on these ecosystems. The poster calls for urgent conservation efforts.
