Designing packaging for buckwheat, alfalfa, and clover honey to be sold at Marchés Publics of Montreal (MPM), focusing on sustainability, attractiveness, and usability. The goal is to create visually appealing and environmentally sustainable packaging that aligns with MPM’s values.

DESIGN THINKING

Recognizing the importance of simplicity, I chose a color-coded system using natural, warm tones to distinguish between the different honey varieties and employed bold typography for clear identification. Photographs added an artisanal touch, resonating with the beekeeping experience. The choice of packaging, a sleek glass jar, ensures convenience while also standing out as a unique and memorable honey packaging solution. This decision aligns with the project mandate of creating a distinctive and user-friendly design that reflects the values of nature and sustainability.

DESIGN MAKING

The process involved several key steps, including concept development, typography selection, and color exploration. Each color was assigned to a specific honey variety, streamlining the selection process for customers. The use of elegant TWK Lausanne typography adds a sophisticated touch to the packaging, enhancing the organic and artisanal nature of the product.
